Textaizer - The best free text mosaic creator on the web. Limitless painting with text to create surprising photorealistic effects. With Textaizer you can make great fun effects from pictures by repainting the picture from text. This is also known as ascii art, but more versatile because you can use your own text (song lyrics or Shakespeare, whatever you like). Textaizer is freeware from the makers of Mosaizer.

Possibilities with Textaizer:

- build any picture (bmp, jpg) from text

- build genuine ASCII art text files and the corresponding bitmaps

- free drawing of ASCII art, possibility to use an underlying picture for perfect copy/drawing

- video functionality: text art compiled as a video clip

- create an ASCII art file from a free-hand mouse-drawn picture

- use of extended ASCII characters to create full-body ASCII art pictures in HTML

- two creative modes: 1: follow the original source color ('colorize'), where the text takes the (average) source color (white spaces are not printed); 2: create a 3D or 'emboss' effect, allowing the entire text to be visible, only the font size varies

- save as text, bitmap, HTML and avi formats

- large screensize result viewer with seamless zooming

- use a white rim around the source to create an artistic painting effect; great for portraits

- use any fontstyle and any fontsize you like

- multiple font ('random font')

- automatic white space trimming (useful for multiple fonts) to avoid gaps in the result

- output as bitmap and as ASCII file (for the ASCII art generation)

- three image enhancement filters to optimize the picture before making a ASCII art of text mosaic

- (de)saturate, lighten/darken and contrast

It appears to be a useful program, but I am still trying to figure it out. I is a bit complicated and there is not much help available. Hopefully with some time I can figure it out through trial and error.

Just checked it out and think it will be good for making scripture posters. Adding scripture to a religious picture that has to do with the verse.

I hope to print posters. And share for free online.

A suprising find!

I'm an artist, and one of my fields of interest is combining text and image. I found this program by chance, and it is great! It is extremely easy to use, and the results are very professional looking. I think it might be used in creating design elements for posters, book covers etc. Great Find.

Good product for this type of program

I downloaded Textaiser and found it to be a very easy to use program. It turned out that it wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but after playing with it, I found it to be a cool little program. Kudos to the developer for a nice product.
